Tonight at 8 pm Eastern is the Hawaii Bowl, featuring Nevada (7-5) vs. #21 Southern Miss (11-2).
Whenever most people think of Southern Miss, they think of the legendary Brett Favre, who played there from 1987-1990. However, current quarterback Austin Davis has been better than Favre in several categories. His 10,727 passing yards, 81 touchdown passes, and 61.6 completion percentage are all better than what Favre did.
Probably the biggest game of the year for Southern Miss was the Conference USA Championship game, where they upset then #7 Houston, 49-28, for a school record 11th win.
Don’t count Nevada out just yet, though. Their defense is ranked second in the WAC with just 372 yards per game. They’re also second in the WAC in passing defense, allowing 226.6 yards per game, and interceptions, with 15.

Southern MIss is favored by 9 1/2 points. In Austin Davis’ last game as a Golden Eagle, I think he has a huge game, and they smash that spread.
